Prayers for Everyday

SMALL CHALLENGES

This morning the gnats
are bad in the garden, Lord.
Small butterflies flit by.
Bees buzz on the marigolds.
The sweet alyssum has grown
beyond its bounds
onto the path
along with the pink evening primrose..
The brown-eyed Susans
need cutting back.
It’s too hot.
I’m going in.
We’ll be together
inside today, Lord.

Psalm 16:11 b:
In your presence there is fullness of joy.

Psalm 105:31:
He spoke, and there came swarms of flies, and gnats throughout the country.
