Thank you, Lord, for fall leaves:
yellow, orange, or red.
They float down
to be picked up
on sidewalk or grass
to grace the lunch table.
As children we loved
to jump in piles
that someone else raked up.
Then as adults
we were the ones
to do the raking.
Now we can enjoy
falling leaves again since
someone else does the raking
in our retirement community.
Thank you, God, for the joy of leaves.

Psalm 92:1-2:
It is good to give thanks to the Lord, to sing praises to your name, O Most High; to declare your steadfast love in the morning, and your faithfulness by night.
