Prayers for Everyday

VETERANS DAY

Father God, this is the day
that we honor those
who have fought our wars.
They have given their lives
that we might live in peace.
Why can’t nations learn
to work through their differences
by talking to one another?
Father God, give the leaders of the world
wisdom and guidance
that justice may overcome
the inequalities and anger
that leads to war.

Micah 6:8:
He has told you, O mortal, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?

Revelation 22:2b:
On either side of the river is the tree of life with its twelve kinds of fruit, producing its fruit each month; and the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations.
