O Gracious Lord,
when it’s cold outside
I walk the halls of our building
for exercise.
By the door of each apartment
is a shelf on which people
place decorations,
now featuring
Thanksgiving and Christmas.
It makes the walk interesting.
You walked great distances
with your disciples
and were sometimes followed by crowds.
Walking with you, Gracious Lord,
is exercise for both soul and body.
Thank you for leading us
in the way of life.

Mark 10:32a:
They were on the road, going up to Jerusalem, and Jesus was walking ahead of them.

John 8:12:
Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”
