Last night, because of the snow
many of the dining room staff
could not get in to work, Lord,
so we chose our food at the serving window
and brought it to our apartment.
Our friend and her visiting niece
joined us in our apartment for dinner.
I set the table with our dishes and flatware.
It was like a party, Lord.
You enjoyed visiting Mary, Martha, and Lazarus.
Getting together is the important thing.
Thank you for those who provide for us,
and thank you for friends to share it with. Amen.

Luke 10:40-42:
But Martha was distracted by her many tasks; so she came to him and asked, “Lord, do you not care that my sister has left me to do all the work by myself? Tell her then to help me.” But the Lord answered her, “Martha, Martha, you are worried and distracted by many things; there is need of only one thing. Mary has chosen the better part, which will not be taken away from her.”
