Prayers for Everyday

SPRING HAS COME!

O God, we went to the garden
to ready it for spring.
My husband got chips
for the path down the middle.
I cut old stalks
and pulled off rotten leaves.
Then we sat on our bench.
There is still work to be done,
but it will wait for another day.
Being in the garden is not so much
about flowers as it is being with you, God.
Your creation is an inspiration.
Thank you, God.

Matthew 13:24-25:
He put before them another parable: “The kingdom of heaven may be compared to someone who sowed good seed in this field; but while everybody was asleep, an enemy came and sowed weeds among the wheat, and then went away.”
