O Father, the resurrection lily is blooming,
reminding us of Christ’s ongoing presence.
The sky is lowering, but rain is not predicted.
A few drops fell last evening.
A mower is mowing grass nearby.
The black-eyed Susan are in full bloom.
I need to pick some fresh flowers..
Tomatoes are ripe and ripening.
What will I do in the winter, Lord?
It’s different when one is young and busy.
Writing memoirs is too boring, Lord,
and my daughter said not to bother.
My children do not mince words.
You are our “refuge and strength”
in every situation.
Lord, I need strength.  Amen.

Psalm 46:1
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
